The Jonas Brothers Cancel Concert in New York Due to Weather

Jonas Brothers fans in Darien Center, N.Y., will have to wait to see the trio perform.

The group was forced to call off the first concert of their tour Friday night because of inclement weather, E! News has confirmed.

A tour source told E! News the show outside of Buffalo was cancelled tonight due to high winds and lightning.

The brothers will try to set a makeup date but won't know for a few days when that will be.

"Very sad we cannot perform tonight's show. We love you all. This weather is crazy. Stay safe. We will be back," Joe Jonas tweeted Friday.

Nick and Married to Jonas star Kevin Jonas also tweeted about the cancelled show, both writing, "Safety is the main priority and we love our fans too much to put them in danger. Sorry we cannot perform tonight."

"We will be working with LiveNation and the venue on options," Nick continued. "Thank you and love you all."

Prior to the cancellation, the Jonas Brothers dished to E! News about their excitement for the tour, with dad-to-be Kevin saying, "We're most excited about playing the new music, and we're playing a lot of it, like six or seven new songs."

"It's our first tour [as] all adults now, so it's fun," Joe added. "It's a party on and off stage and we all have a good time."
