The Wanted have taken another swipe at pop rivals One Direction, suggesting that the youngsters "did a runner" when presented with the opportunity to meet them.
Tensions have been escalating between the two boy bands in recent weeks, with insults on Twitter leading to an offer of a boxing match from The Wanted's Max George to settle their differences.
And Max has now told The Sun's Fabulous magazine that the 1D boys actively avoided the opportunity to hash things out when both groups were playing in New York.
He said: "That's the 100 per cent God's honest truth. They got the car pulled up to the back of the stage and got straight in it."
One Direction recently responded to The Wanted's offer to step into the boxing ring by saying it would be a "boring" thing to do on a day off.
