It seemed like One Direction have well and truly got in touch with their rock and roll sides.
Harry Styles and Niall Horan couldn't have looked more thrilled as they posed up with Ronnie Wood following the Rolling Stones gig in Washington DC on Monday on the last US date of the current leg of their 50 And Counting Tour.
While Harry wore a checked jacket and shirt over a T-shit with a cream hat, Niall opted for a low-cut white vest top with black shirt over the top.
The picture was actually tweeted by Ronnie himself, who is seen standing alongside wife Sally Humphreys in the shot.
He posted the picture alongside the caption: 'Great to see you tonight @NiallOfficial & @Harry_Styles ~ glad you enjoyed the show! :)'
Earlier, Harry had been seen indulging a young fan by posing up with the excited young girl who ran up to the boys' limousine in what would usually seem to be a fruitless pursuit for a photograph.
Classy Harry patiently waited as a group of adoring teenagers got in on the act, and after giving a cheerful wave he sped off towards the Verizon Center so he could enjoy an old fashioned evening of live entertainment.
But the rock and roll royalty in waiting were not the only big names who had turned up to see the OAP rockers perform in the capital.
For retro rocker Lenny Kravitz was grinning from ear-to-ear as he padded towards the arena with a group of saucy female friends, no doubt excited to be seeing an outfit who surely have been a big influence on his sound.
And Ronnie later shared a shot of himself and Lenny backstage, writing: 'Backstage with @LennyKravitz tonight ~ see you again soon :)'
The Stones are performing like a well oiled machine after ironing out the wrinkles earlier in their latest world tour, and are sounding almost as vital as during their first US performance in San Bernardino, California on June 5, 1964.
And they did themselves proud again on Monday, performing a slew of hits including Paint It Black and Gimme Shelter, before closing with an encore of (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, with old guitarist Mick Taylor, who is taking part on what could be their final tour, joining them on stage.
