Russell Brand asks 'adored womanising apprentice' Harry Styles for help with drugs campaign

Russell Brand has reached out to One Direction's Harry Styles for support with his new drug campaign by sending him a jokey Twitter message.

The comic, 37, reckons Harry, 19, is a great person to publicise MP Caroline Lucas's petition for the government to consider a more effective drug policy.

'My adored womanising apprentice @Harry_Styles please encourage your followers to sign this,' Tweeted Russell.

'one day you might need it!'

Russell has also called upon celebrity friends including Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross and David Walliams to spread word of Caroline's crusade.

While Directioners know that former addict Russell is fighting for a good cause, some are a little offended by his suggestion that Harry is a ladies' man.

'Harry isn't a womaniser. :(,' Tweeted one fan.

Russell replied: 'sorry mate. I take it back. X.'
