Harry Styles 'eager to bulk up'


One Direction star Harry Styles is apparently on a mission to "become more manly".

The One Direction hunk is currently on the Take Me Home world tour with bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.

The chart-topping band take four personal trainers on the road, but Harry is said to have stepped up his workouts in a bid to improve his physique.

"He's doing extra weight training and fitness as he's desperate to stop looking 'boyish' and become more manly," a source told British magazine Heat. "He's been concentrating on weight training to bulk up and increase body strength. The other boys think he's taking it a bit far and have been ripping it out of him for being so vain!

"They work quite hard on tour and during the show anyway (and all like playing football), but Harry has admitted he's really pleased with how his body has bulked up, telling people he has his first-ever six-pack! He thinks he's in the best shape he's ever been in."

One Direction's tour chef Sarah Nicholas also added that Harry is very healthy when it comes to his diet. She explained the 19-year-old is "conscious" about what he eats, before revealing his typical daily intake.

"Harry loves Asian food and is quite an adventurous eater. If he's tired he might choose the pasta dish, but most times he'll only have protein and vegetables," Sarah explained, before revealing what the other band members eat.

She added that Niall likes sausage, mash, pies and honeycomb ice cream, explaining that the cheeky star "isn't bothered about eating healthily".

While Zayn is "easy to please" and "eats whatever is going", Liam is "much more conscious" and sticks to plenty of vegetables and low fat foods.

Louis is the "pudding and custard man", with Sarah revealing that he is the band's "main tea drinker".
