Taylor Swift denies she's EVER getting back together with John 'The Player' Mayer

Taylor Swift may have looked cosy with ex John Mayer at the Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, but romance rumours were denied by her publicist.

It was claimed that the pair got close after an after-show party at The Orleans Hotel and Casino where the 23-year-old singer allegedly spent much of the night with her former beau.

‘Taylor spotted John on the red carpet, but it was only at the party that they got talking,’ a source told Grazia magazine.

‘They snuck off to a corner and were all over each other. At one point she had her hands on his knees, with him holding her waist – they were so deep in conversation.’

It allegedly turned into an all-night reunion as Taylor invited John for breakfast at her hotel room at The Orleans.

However, claims that the two had fallen for each other again were quashed by Taylor's publicist who said: 'There is no truth to this... whatsoever.'

Which is no surprise as the dark-haired singer's nickname is John ‘The Player’ Mayer, earned by breaking hearts and a reputation as one of Hollywood’s biggest love rats.

The singer's past loves include Jennifer Aniston, Katy Perry and Jessica Simpson.

Taylor and John first got together in 2009 and the duo collaborated on his 2009 song Half of My Heart. But the 35-year-old lothario dumped her soon after, and she was completely devastated.

However, the 23-year-old country singer got her own back by penning the Dear John song. The ballad trashed a man for playing ‘dark twisted games’ with girls' hearts.

She makes no apologies for turning her painful personal experiences into lyrics. ‘If there were someone who was a good person, I’m not going to write something bad about them,’ she told The Daily Beast.

The singer has dated a string of eligible bachelors and a few toy boys to boot, although none of the relationships have lasted more than a few months.

Her romances include 19-year-old One Direction star Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy and Glee’s Cory Monteith.
