But Demi Lovato looked like a woman who knows her worth on Monday night.
The 20-year-old confidently flaunted her curves in figure-hugging trousers and a tight bustier during a spirited concert performance in Barbados.
The singer threw her arms in the air and danced around onstage, smiling with what looked like utter joy at the CHUM FM party at Holders House in the St. James area of the Caribbean island country.
The star, who is promoting her new album Heart Attack, looked gorgeous in the fitted trousers and floral bustier, which showed off her womanly figure to perfection.
Perhaps to tone down the skintight outfit somewhat, Demi wore a baggy white cardigan, accessorising with a gold chunky necklace.
The former child star enhanced her natural glow with rosy pink blusher and added a pop of colour with dark pink lipstick.
Demi danced vigorously around onstage, and at one point threw her arms wide, her hair apparently wet from the sweat she generated during the performance.
She was also seen sitting at the keyboard, crooning emotionally into her microphone amid moody blue lighting.
Demi said during an interview on Live With Kelly And Michael on Thursday that the songs on her new album reflect her life thus far.
'With the album I have a ton of upbeat songs [that are] super catchy that get stuck in your head, which is a good thing,' she said.
'But I also have some pretty emotional songs on there, opening up about things that I haven't ever really talked about. It's a big deal for me.'
But Demi appears to be in a far healthier place mentally and physically since entering rehab last year.
The star tweeted a picture of her makeup-free face earlier this month and urged her fans on Twitter to do the same.
'Ladies, be brave today "take off your make-up and stop using those filters!! WE are beautiful!!!!' she tweeted.
