Demi Lovato is building excitement for the release of her new album, Demi, due out May 14.
She has already released the lead single, “Heart Attack,” so in anticipation of even more new music on the way, she decided to play a little guessing game with her Lovatics on Twitter early Friday.
She tweeted the following five lines from what were presumably different songs off her album:
“Can you be my nightingale?....”
"Strong enough to leave you, weak enough to need you, cared enough to let you walk away..." #DEMI.
"There's a boy, lost his way, looking for someone to play.. There's a girl in the window, tears rolling down her face..”
“We're only lost children trying to find a friend, trying to find a way back home.." #DEMI.
"So even if I lose it all, I've got so much left to give, I won't give up. My hearts on the frontline I'm NOT afraid..." #DEMI.
After tweeting lyrics, she wrote, Can YOU guess which songs those lyrics are from...? Goodnight my Lovatics...”
According to PopCrush the track list for Demi has already been released, which made guessing possible. The album features 13 new songs like, “Made in the USA,” “Without the Love,” “Neon Lights,” “Two Pieces,” “Nightingale,” “In Case,” “Really Don’t Care,” “Fire Starter,” “Something That We’re Not,” “Never Been Hurt,” “Shouldn’t Come Back,” and “Warrior.”
Through the lyrics she shared on Twitter she is already showing that deep, mature, personal side she had said would be on display.
"[The album] is related to a lot of personal experiences that I’ve had and there are some really awesome pop songs that I think are super catchy. But at the same time, there are more adult songs – get your head out of the gutter,” she said. “I speak about pretty heavy, heavy stuff that I haven’t spoken about before.”
