One Direction online mini-series launched by Syco showing Go1Den Ticket footage

A mini-series is launching online today giving fans the chance to view the culmination of Syco’s Bring Me to 1D campaign.

In December, the music company took 'Go1Den Ticket' winners from more than 40 countries and jetted them to New York to see One Direction in concert at Madison Square Garden and attend an intimate fan event the very next day.

Episode 1 of the mini-series released today can be viewed here:

Each ticket could be won in different ways in different countries; Norwegian fans had to get the most amount of people saying ‘I love One Direction’ in a video, Austrians recreated the One Direction album cover ‘Take Me Home’ including a telephone box which they had to build themselves, New Zealand Directioners raced around the country finding 1D dolls...Malaysian uncles and Mums danced, Japan made 1D Dim Sum, Russia created Christmas presents – the whole world was in search of the infamous Go1Den Tickets.

An interactive map on the band’s website constantly updated itself with the locations of various winners as each ticket was discovered – from Costa Rica to the Philippines.

Those who won a Go1Den ticket were able to take a friend and parent/guardian to New York for a sell-out show at Madison Square Garden on December 3.

The day after the concert, they attended an exclusive winners-only event with special 1D activities like 1D nail art, 1D Photobooth, 1D Cupcake decorating. They were able to meet Liam, Niall, Louis, Harry and Zayn themselves and were treated to an exclusive preview of the video for ‘Kiss You’.

Genevieve Ampaduh, Head of Digital Marketing for Syco said: “Seeing the passion from the fans over the last three months has been incredible. The lucky winners had an amazing time but we wanted to make sure that all the fans across the world shared the experience of their trip as it was the culmination of the story that they had all been so involved with - which is why we are launching the mini-series today.”
