Harry Styles treats Taylor Swift to romantic birthday meal at Cheshire pub after 'spending £1000 on her gifts'

He might have a bit of a reputation as a ladies’ man but there’s no doubt that Harry Styles is smitten with Taylor Swift.

The One Direction star has been welcoming the country pop star into his world and the pair are currently in his native England.

So when it came to Taylor’s 23rd birthday, Harry wanted to make sure he pulled out all the stops

But that didn’t mean taking his new girlfriend to the fanciest place he could think of, but rather showing her his favourite haunts.

The 18-year-old drove for two hours to take Taylor to the George and Dragon Hotel in Great Budworth, Cheshire.

And it looked like Taylor was very appreciative of the gesture.

He also presented her with £1000 worth of gifts according to The Sun, her goodies included 'perfume, a £400 Jimmy Choo bag and antique earrings.'

The pair wore huge smiles across their faces as they walked hand in hand back to Harry’s Range Rover after their meal.

At one point the handsome boyband member gave Taylor a little squeeze as he directed her to the vehicle.

Once they had piled in the car and out of the cold, Taylor started giggling at something Harry said.

The pair were both bundled up against the bitter weather with Taylor in a stylish green wool coat, skinny jeans, brown brogues, a matching scarf and a bowling bag.

Meanwhile Harry was also in brogues and skinny jeans, as well as a sheepskin collared jacket and plaid shirt,

It wasn’t the only treat Harry had in store for Taylor, as the cutie also bought her 23 cakes for the star – one to represent every year she has been alive.

Custom Cupcake Company owner Matt Blakely told the Warrington Guardian: 'The woman said it was for Harry Styles but I didn’t know who that was at first.

'We had got a lot of orders before Christmas but she said he desperately needed them so we said OK.

'It was only afterwards we looked on the internet and saw it was his girlfriend’s birthday today and she was 23.'
