Are One Direction Complaining About Their Grammy Snub?

When the Grammy votes were tallied and the nominees were named, some of this year's biggest artists didn't get any recognition. Notably absent from the list of nominees are Justin Bieber and One Direction, perhaps two of the biggest pop acts in the world.

There have been two very different reactions to the snubs. Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, proved he wasn't pleased at all when he tweeted sharing he felt that Grammy voters "blew it" by not recognizing Believe or any of its tracks. 1D's mentor, Simon Cowell, on the other hand, isn't stressing out about it.

"No, you know what? You know what's more important? Fans, record sales, I've always said that," he told MTV News backstage at "The X Factor" on Thursday night. "Maybe next year they'll get something."

The guys would have qualified for a Grammy nod or two. Their debut album, Up All Night, along with their two singles, "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing," met eligibility requirements.

So, are the five guys in One Direction as cool-headed about it as Simon is about the apparent snub? He added, "Trust me, they're not complaining."

The guys certainly don't really have much to complain about. Their sophomore album, Take Me Home debuted at the top of the charts, thanks to two equally catchy, yet different singles, "Live While We're Young" and "Little Things." They are currently prepping to not only go on a massive 2013 world tour, but also for their summer 2013 3-D flick.

And, if that's not enough 1D in your life, they are also going to drop their video for "Kiss You." "I think the whole concept behind the video is bigger than anything we've done before," Zayn Malik told MTV News about the forthcoming clip. "It's a whole idea and it's kind of structured, which is a little bit different than what we've done before in like a comedy way. It's really funny. We are just having fun."

Liam Payne added, "There were proper sets and everything for this video, and there was a lot of hard work that went into it with the crew and everything."
