Among the effects of that big storm was interruption of the filming schedule for Noah, a Darren Aronofsky movie about the real flood, the one in the Bible.
The L.A. Times reports that the “ark” being used in the film, 137 metres long, was never intended to be seaworthy. It has been docked at Oyster Bay on Long Island and may have been wrecked by the flooding. Paramount isn’t saying.
Newsday reports that Emma Watson, who stars with Russell Crowe and Anthony Hopkins, sent a tweet indicating a certain amusement: “I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production of Noah is not lost.”
And some Dull Normal Tweeter joked that the movie had become a reality show.
It’s is scheduled for 2014 release.
