One Direction will return to their X Factor roots this week, by appearing on Simon Cowell's stateside edition of the show. The boys - who formed on the British show and have since become the biggest boy-band in the world - will perform singles 'Live While We're Young' and 'Little Things' during Thursday's results show (November 8, 2012).
Fox announced on Monday that the band, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, will take to the stage before the first elimination of the new season. "Having come from the U.K. X Factor, we can't wait to perform on the U.S. stage - it's going to be a great night!" Malik said in a statement. "We're really excited to be on the American X Factor" Horan added. "It'll be the first time we've performed in front of 'Uncle Si' since we were on the U.K. X Factor. So, hopefully, we'll make him proud!" Is it us or does Uncle Si sound a little creepy? Anyway, the group will warm up the crowd before hosts Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez reveal the results of America's first vote of the season. It'll come just two days after the country votes in another ballot - something to do with the Presidency.
One Direction release their second studio album Take Me Home on November 13, 2012. Early indications suggest it will sell around 10 gazillion copies.
