After barely escaping elimination last week, Cece Frey closed the show on "The X Factor" by taking on Celine Dion's "All by Myself." The theme of the week was "Divas," but it looked like the biggest diva might have been behind the judge's table.
After L.A. Reid criticized Cece's performance, her mentor Demi Lovato went after him. Demi has been very vocal in defending her contestants, but is she taking it too far with these outbursts?
"Sorry that she was better than your Vino [Alan]," Demi said. Why was it necessary to rope another contestant into this dispute?
When Britney Spears echoed L.A.'s assessment, saying that she didn't get it, Demi didn't attack her. Even after L.A. goaded her. "You got so much lip, say something to Britney," he said.
So is this still playful banter between the judges, or is this getting a little too real? BuddyTV wrote that Demi needs to watch herself. Cece Frey has been struggling with likeability every week -- and she was nearly eliminated last week. Demi being rude isn't going to do Cece any favors.
