The pair first got to know each other during the 2010 series of The X Factor, Cheryl's last series as a judge and the year One Direction burst onto the music scene.
Now it seems the pair got a little closer than first imagined, with Chezza admitting she has seen the teen heartthrob in his underwear.
Harry has already demonstrated a penchant for older women, with the 18-year-old previously enjoying a brief fling with 32-year-old Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack.
So does Cheryl have her eye on the young star?
When asked whether she fancied Harry, Cole told Sugarscape: 'Harry? I've seen Harry in his boxer shorts.'
But anyone hoping for a Cheryl-Harry hook-up will be disappointed, as the Call My Name revealed their relationship is purely platonic – although she understands why he's a hit with the ladies.
She added: 'Harry's a little brother type, but I get it, the girls go crazy for him – and the women.'
Cheryl also took the opportunity to back up her previous claims that she played a crucial part in One Direction's success, saying: 'I took credit for [One Direction] on Twitter – I Twittered the boys, saying "Remember who really mentored you when Simon wasn't around!"
'There was a couple of weekends where Simon [Cowell] was poorly and I had to mentor them, so I take full responsibility for all their success – and over the pond, I think it's all me.'
Given that Simon has continued to guide One Direction's career following their time on the show, we think Cheryl might be exaggerating somewhat.
