Miley Cyrus, 19, opted to wear just a short white jacket at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Her Jean Paul Gaultier creation and Christian Louboutin shoes, not to mention her '60s 'do, got attention at the show that was hosted by Modern Family's Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.

Adele was the big prize winner of the night, taking home 12 awards including Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album. LMFAO won six awards. Coldplay and Lil Wayne had big nights as well, both earning four BBMAs, while Casting Crowns, Jason Aldean and Lady Gaga each received two awards. Lady Antebellum, Shakira, Wiz Khalifa, Beyonce, Foster the People and Nicki Minaj are among the artists who each won one award.

The show featured some 15 live performances, including Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Usher and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Several tributes took place. British pop star Natasha Bedingfield sang Last Dance, in honor of Donna Summer, who died Thursday of lung cancer. Cee Lo Green performed the Beastie Boys' (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party! in remembrance of MC Adam Yauch, who died May 4, following a battle with cancer. And Bobbi Kristina Brown accepted the Millenium Award on behalf of her mom, Whitney Houston.

"I really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all," said Brown, who stood alongside Whitney's manager and sister-in-law Pat Houston. "Not just from when it was good but when it was bad, too. Thank you for showing that much love, because she deserved it...I'm just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman's life. There will never be another one, ever."
