Demi Lovato is mobbed by fans as she arrives in Argentina just a day after she was rushed by supporters on stage

It seems being mobbed by fans is becoming a bit of an unwelcome habit for pop star Demi Lovato.

For the teen idol was rushed by her diehard supporters for the second time in the space of a couple of days in Argentina yesterday.

Hundreds of fans greeted the 19-year-old when she touched down in the Buenos Aires in advance of her show in the capital this evening.

And the Unbroken star was visibly shocked when she saw the gargantuan welcoming party that was waiting to greet her.

She was pictured as her jaw literally dropped as she was given a rapturous reception by a horde of diehards.

Luckily for the pretty star, she was well protected from any over enthusiastic fans by a crack team of beefy security guards.

Demi looked every inch the pop star in her sunglasses as her team helped her beat a path to her vehicle.

But the fun was not over even after she clambered into the grey Hyundai, as she was pursued on foot by hundreds of supporters, with a few fleet footed followers even managing to catch up and bash on her window before her driver finally sped off into the distance.

But if Demi is resenftul of her new status as a pop favourite, she has not been showing it.

In fact she has been repeatedly praising the reception she has been getting from fans on her mammoth tour of South America.

However she is yet to speak out after she was forced to stop her concert in Paraguay a few nights ago after a run-in with over enthusiastic supporters.

As the Camp Rock favourite was interacting with the crowd, a female fan seized her moment and launched herself onto the stage.

She ran over to Demi mid-performance and threw her arms around the busty teen.

While the act appeared to be out of innocent admiration, it sparked other members of the crowd to invade the stage and things turned violent when security guards stepped in to protect Demi.

However the canny young star quickly ducked off and made her way off the stage unharmed.

And the professional Skyscraper singer soon decided the show must go on and she returned to the stage after just one minute and opted to continue her performance.

However not before she had made light of the matter and told the hyper crowd to ‘chill out’.

The star recently confessed to using cocaine as a way to battle loneliness after appearing in front of thousands of fans.

The singer also claimed that she was offered drugs and alcohol by promoters who wanted her to return to their venue.

The former Disney star went into rehab in 2010 for a number of personal issues, including an eating disorder, depression and self-harming.

While Demi has talked about those issues she has never admitted to using drugs.

But asked in a magazine interview if she had taken cocaine, she said: 'It's something I don't really want to talk about. What I can say is that I was depressed.

'I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I'd come crashing down and would try and find a way to recreate that feeling to stay up.'

Lovato admitted club promoters enabled her, and said: 'Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my a**.

'I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says "no". That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.'
