Taylor Swift has caught the acting bug, and now it looks like she's in the running to play Eponine in a big-screen adaptation of 'Les Miserables.'
According to the New York Post, the country star is vying for the coveted role along with Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood, who are all being considered. The site says a source has confirmed that all four girls have auditioned for the part.
While Taylor made her movie debut in 'Valentine's Day' and voices Audrey in the upcoming 'Dr. Seuss' The Lorax,' the singer has some stiff competition. Thanks to 'Glee,' we all know what Lea can do, and she has an additional edge since she played Young Cosette in the Broadway rendition of the show.
Meanwhile Evan has been showing off her vocal ability in various YouTube videos, and most recently when she performed a cover of Justin Bieber's 'Baby' on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.' As for Scarlett, she was once considered for a role in West Side Story, and released her own album in 2008.
We'll see if Taylor can rise above the rest. If she does, she'll be sharing the screen with the likes of Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Geoffrey Rush, who have already signed onto the project. Do you think Taylor is the best star to play Eponine?
