Selena Gomez has one of the most enviable figures, but even she is a little self-conscious apparently. The 19-year-old donned a very tiny little dress for her performance at the Jingle Ball in Sacramento on Thursday. Her tiny figure looked fabulous in a red-sequined halter top, but her mini-skirt revealed a paired of Spanx. The figure enhancing underwear are very popular among women, especially celebrities. Taylor Swift and Kristen Stewart have recently been spotted with their Spanx peaking out. All three of these ladies are ultra-skinny and have beautiful figures, so why the need for the tummy toners?
It could be a modesty thing. Who knows? Despite her little wardrobe malfunction, Selena did a fabulous job on stage. She opted to sing two of Katy Perry’s songs rather than her own. Selena told the audience, “One of my inspirations is Katy Perry.” The ladies met up at the AMAs and appeared to be very close. Selena added, “She’s been really wonderful and really good as a person to me. She’s given me two songs of hers so, in honor of Katy, we wanted to do this song for her.” Selena sang Katy’s latest single, “The One That Got Away” to a crowd of screaming fans.
Selena has been taking the past couple of weeks easy as she winds down from her recent tour. She recently tweeted her New Year’s Eve plans, “Hey Everyone– Not sure if you know but, I will be the first performance for MTV in 2012 at the strike of midnight I will be performing at MTV’s NYE Party.” Her boyfriend, Justin Bieber will be performing at Dick Clark’s event, but hopefully the two young stars can meet up later to ring in 2012 together.
Selena has revealed she will be taking a 2-week vacation for Christmas before she delves back into her acting career next year. She has landed a role in the movie, “Spring Breakers.” Selena says the role is different than anything she is ever done and is more “raw.” She says, “It’s a different kind of vibe I think than people are used to seeing me in.”
