It's no secret that Christmas is Taylor Swift's favorite holiday, and it looks like the soon-to-be 22-year-old singer is already getting into the spirit of the season with her friends.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, the country star and her pals took on a DIY project of making snow globes, and they came out so great that Tay posted a photo of the entire collection on her Facebook page.
"Home made snow globes with friends," she wrote along with a pic of eight holiday inspired wonders. "The whole fleet!"
If you love Taylor's craft project, here's how to make your own snow globes. All you'll need is: a glass jar (almost any kind will do), a plastic or ceramic figurine, glycerin, hot glue or epoxy, water and glitter.
Glue the figurine onto the inside of the jar lid. If you want to get fancy, you can build a base out of rocks or other non-rusting items to make your figure stand tall. Fill your jar with water, leaving about a half inch at the top. You want there to be some air inside the jar so that the "snow" can move around.
Add about a teaspoon of glitter (more or less depending on the size of your jar) and just a dash of glycerin (not too much!). The glycerin helps keep the glitter from falling too fast, but too much will make your glitter stick. Place your lid on the jar and seal tight, adding a little bit of glue or epoxy around the edge of the sealed lid to keep water from leaking. And voila! You'll have your very own homemade snow globe, just like Taylor.
