Justin Bieber's accuser hits new setback

Even someone dumb enough to accuse Justin Bieber of fathering her baby should know better than to put incriminating evidence on the Internet.

Not so much.

Mariah Yeater, 20, who claims Bieber is the father of her baby boy after an alleged backstage tryst last year, sent a text Wednesday to a friend, begging him to erase an incriminating text in which her mom says someone other than Bieber is the baby daddy. Mariah Yeater then promises to give the friend a cut of the action when she scores a payday.

The laughing you hear is coming from Bieber's legal team

The person to whom Yeater texted shared it with TMZ, asking them to blur his name. They referred to him as "John." He has been in touch with Yeater regularly, even before the baby was born July 6.

In the text, Yeater pleads for "John" to "ERASE ALL MESSAGES from my mom." The text goes on to say that her mom sent John messages in the past, stating that baby, named Tristyn, was fathered by someone named Robbie, who's apparently an ex-boyfriend.

Yeater goes on to offer "John" money if he cooperates: "Ill kick u when we get paid."

OMG. LMAO. etc. etc.

All the texts end with "Mariah Laci." Laci is Mariah's middle name.

A clever ruse, young woman. You almost had us. ALL ...MOST.

TMZ has apparently seen many other texts between Mariah and "John." In one text, Mariah writes, "(John), would you please stress to Robbie how important it is forhim to be in his son's life?"

"John" allegedly told TMZ he has already shared this information with Bieber's lawyer Howard Weitzman. We're guessing someone's friendship isn't doing so well.

Weitzman told TMZ, "This information proves Mariah Yeater fabricated the story. Our independent investigation indicates Ms. Yeater never met Justin, she has consistently identified another man as the child's father, and Ms. Yeater and her co-conspirators hatched this scheme in order to extort money from him and to sell her story to the media."

A-HA!. So the MEDIA is involved as well, eh? We never trusted them to begin with.

Weitzman adds, "There have been no settlement discussions and there never will be."
