When Demi Lovato sang the lyrics 'Tonight I'm letting go' from her hit Unbroken last week, she didn't suspect that she'd be talking about her hair.
Unfortunately, life imitated art during the19-year-old singer's Kansas City concert when one of her hair extensions fell out mid-song.
The hair trauma came to be due to some heavy head thrashing as the Skyscraper songbird got into her dance moves.
She acted like a consummate professional, though, and continued singing her hit All Night Long as if nothing was amiss.
The former Disney star didn't blink an eye when her weave fell out, but continued to hold the limp lock until she scooted offstage.
She made hair news earlier this month when she tweeted a photograph of her new flame-coloured 'do.
She posted on her Twitter page November 5: 'Changing my hair colour today....'
The singer then added: 'Red hurr she don't curr' and posted a photograph of her metamorphosis from brunette beauty to red siren.
Since her Kansas City show, she has performed in a variety of cities including New Orleans, Louisiana and her hometown of Dallas, Texas.
She was ill while playing the Dallas show on Saturday night, but went onstage anyway.
She tweeted earlier this weekend: 'Woke up so sick this morning but I WILL NOT let it stop me from putting on a killer show in my hometown tonight!!! Come on Dallas TX!!!!'
Lovato didn't let a little sickness bother her, though. She wrote on Twitter: 'I'm still so ready to rock it out tonight!'
The following day, she expressed her pleasure at how well the show went, writing: 'Dallas was on fire last night!'
