Taylor Swift Honors HALO Awards' Teen Heroes

Taylor Swift hands a smiling James O’Dwyer a guitar in this sneak peek for the upcoming 2011 TeenNick’s HALO Awards.

Created and hosted by TeenNick Chairman Nick Cannon, the HALO Awards is a one-hour special that recognizes and celebrates real teens who are agents of change in their communities, in the hopes of inspiring and motivating a new generation of leaders. HALO stands for “helping and leading others.”

The TeenNick HALO Awards will feature four unique stories that are deeply relevant and important to teens — each one showcasing an ordinary teen doing extraordinary things. Each teen — James O’Dwyer, Emily-Anne Rigal, Shanoah Washington, and Kyle Weiss — will be surprised with a visit by Nick and awarded a grant for their organization, scholarship funds and a whirlwind, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and trip to meet and connect with a mega-celebrity who shares their passion.

Taylor, David Beckham, Jessica Biel, and Lady Gaga join Nick during the hour-long special presentation that recognizes and celebrates four real teens who are working to making a significant difference in the world.

The 2011 TeenNick HALO Awards premiere Sunday, November 6 @ 8PM ET/PT on TeenNick.
