If the rumors are true, Garrett Hedlund and Taylor Swift might be Nashville's newest pairing. Sounds country strong to us! Okay, never mind, but Us Weekly reports that the 21-year-old Speak Now singer and the 26-year-old "TRON: Legacy" actor are in the beginning stages of a budding romance.
"It was their first time going out," a source told the website of their reported April 1 date in Nashville. "They've been emailing for a while, and she hinted they should get together."
It seems that the pair met up in between touring and promotional gigs for Taylor, who lives in Nashville, and while Garrett has been busy recording music in the country music capital. They reportedly met up around 8 p.m., and Garrett was back at his hotel by 12:30 a.m. Sources added she's taking it slow after her whirlwind romance with Jake Gyllenhaal.
"She has actually spent time getting to know Garrett," the insider said. "He's cute—and he's into country music! [She] likes that he's a normal guy."
Taylor was last spotted with "Glee" star Chord Overstreet in February. The pair attended a hockey game in Los Angeles. (Remember when she used to go to sporting events with Taylor Lautner? Memories!) The pair haven't been spotted together since, and Chord always played off any romance rumors in the press.
"We’re just friends. I don’t know where the time is to date these days," he said. "She’s lovely. I think talent is attractive."
