Hot Celebs Need Dads: Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato Prove a Point

eremy Bieber is the little-talked-about pop of musical heartthrob Justin Bieber. Dad stays in the background but makes his presence known. Demi Lovato is forging a bond with her father now. What is it about hot celebsand their dads?

Move over Justin Bieber: Dad's in Town

At first glance, Justin Bieber's success story reads pretty much like the broken home story that so many hot celebs share: raised by a single mom with no dad in the house. In this case, the story line is different. Justin tells People that he thinks his dad is "cool." Although married and living apart from his famous son, Jeremy Bieber makes time to hang out with junior and - as OK! Magazine footage proves - go surfing in Barbados.

Demi Lovato and Lindsay Lohan Connect with their Dads

When Demi Lovato's rehab news hit the airwaves, fans set off a Twitter war against ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his new gal pal Ashley Greene. There is a silver lining to the troubles that the former Disney princess is experiencing: She is reconnecting with dad. Radar Online reports that even though there has been quite a bit of distance between the two of them, the elder Lovato is hopeful that this call is the beginning of a new closeness.

Lindsay Lohan also did her stint in rehab, and Celebuzz confides that Michael Lohan has been spotted shopping with his daughter. This is a huge bit of progress, considering that Lindsay is one of the hot celebs with problems who have not had much use for a father-daughter relationship. Of course, having a dad try to sell portions of a personal diary will do that to kids.

Following the Example of Justin Bieber's Dad

Perhaps the dads of hot celebs should take a leaf from the playbook of Jeremy Bieber. It doesn't look like there is a need for Justin's dad to do any cashing in on his son's celebrity status. Instead, he focuses on having good times with the boy and then both go their separate ways and continue to live life. Maybe the absence of drama does make the heart grow fonder.
