Is rehab the new venue for healing fractured family ties? First, Lindsay Lohan and her estranged father Michael reconnected through the venue of the Betty Ford Center, and now, Radar Online reports, Disney princess Demi Lovato has re-established contact with her birth father, Patrick Lovato, from her undisclosed treatment facility.
The elder Lovato tells Radar that his 18-year-old daughter, with whom he's shared a strained, distant relationship over the years, called him from treatment, and the news is good:
"Demi’s doing great, she’s such a strong girl...She told me she loved me, she really loves her daddy....She told me she’s getting better.”
