TOP PICK: Katy Perry Keeps It in the Family, Brings Her Brother to Grammys

Katy Perry had a very special "date" for the Grammys...although it wasn't really a date because that would be kind of awkward.

The singer actually brought her brother, David Hudson with her, and even shared a silly photo from inside the limo just moments before they stepped out onto the red carpet.

Don't worry, though, Katy met up with boyfriend John Mayer at the Grammy after-party and by all accounts, it seems like they had an absolutely amazing time!

This isn't the first time Katy has brought a family member out on the red carpet with her. In fact, Katy's grandmother has accompanied her to two major events--the 2012 Billboard Awards and the Smurfs premiere.

The superstar also had her family in tow for her Part of Me premiere in 2012.

We think it's sweet that she lets them share the spotlight with her!

Ed Sheeran hangs out with Taylor Swift in Club Red during their concert in Detroit, Mich., on Saturday night (May 4).

“‘I Knew You Weren’t Trouble When You Walked In.’ She’s definitely a very good girl,” the 22-year-old British musician told Glamour about writing a song about Taylor, 23.

Ed also opened up about his favorite Ginger in the world right now: Prince Harry!

“He does it good because there isn’t a single woman on the planet that doesn’t want to marry a prince, and he just happens to be ginger. I personally don’t think ginger men have a habit of being attractive. We have to make ourselves seem attractive by doing stuff. I learned guitar, and he became a prince,” he added.

Ed is also pictured at the 2013 SunFest Music and Arts Festival on Friday night (May 3) in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Logan Lerman to star in Top Gun remake

Percy Jackson actor Logan Lerman has seen his acting career go from strength to strength and he is about to see himself take another step up the ladder to Hollywood superstardom. Logan is a young and very talented actor and is about to take on the biggest role of his career.

While there has been a lot of talk about a potential Top Gun 2 movie being made, it seems that they have decided to take a different route with the film. It has now been confirmed that, instead of a Top Gun sequel, they will instead be making a Top Gun remake.

Logan Lerman will star in the Top Gun remake as the character Maverick, the role which was made famous by Tom Cruise in the 1986 original. Meanwhile, it is also claimed that Tom Cruise will have a cameo appearance in the movie, which is expected to be a small role as one of the instructors.

It will be the biggest test of Logan Lerman's career and will see if he has what it takes to carry the huge weight of expectations on his shoulders. The Top Gun remake is set to stick fairly close to the original concept but with a more modern spin on the fighter pilot story. The Top Gun remake is currently in the process of being written and is set to begin shooting in early 2014, with a 2015 release date planned.

Top Gun: Top Gun director Tony Scott dies

Tony Scott, director of such Hollywood blockbusters as Top Gun, Days of Thunder and Beverly Hills Cop II, has died.

The 68-year-old Scott's death is being investigated as a suicide, Los Angeles County Coroner's Lieutenant Joe Bale says.

US Coast Guard Lieutenant Jennifer Osburn has told the Daily Breeze that a suicide note was found inside Scott's black Toyota Prius, which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge.

The British-born Scott was the brother of producer and director Ridley Scott.

The two brothers ran Scott Free Productions and were working jointly on a film called Killing Lincoln, based on the best seller by Bill O'Reilly.

Ridley Scott's Prometheus, was a summer blockbuster.

Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise, was one of the highest-grossing films of 1986. The pair worked together again four years later on the hit Days of Thunder, which also starred Nicole Kidman.

Scott frequently worked with Denzel Washington, most recently on the runaway train drama Unstoppable. Scott and Washington collaborated on four other films: Man on Fire, Deja Vu, and The Taking of Pelham 123.

In a tweet on Sunday, director Ron Howard said, 'No more Tony Scott movies. Tragic day.'

Other Scott films include True Romance, Crimson Tide and Man on Fire.

Scott was married to actress Donna Scott. They have twin sons.
