Max George hides under a New York hat while doing some shopping at Franklin and Marshall in Covent Garden on Wednesday (June 25) in London, England.

See what happens when you try to help someone out?! Two of the guys from The Wanted were attacked by a homeless man in Denver earlier this week when they tried to give him money and the dude insisted on getting more. How rude.

According to TMZ, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran were attacked by a transient when they were leaving a movie theater at night. Sources say Siva gave the guy a few bucks, but he demanded more. When the guys turned him down, the dude pulled out a knife.

Don't worry, Jay and Siva fought the homeless man and eventually got away. Neither of the guys were injured and the cops were not called.

Siva added, “We’ve all agreed to move forward for the good of things. We all spoke and said: ‘Let’s just get on with it.’ We came to a consensus together to push forward and get our heads down, and focus on the music. Time is a great healer. We’re in a reflection period. We got really nostalgic. While we were on a break, we were been in touch a lot more.”

He continued, “Acting, modelling, singing!!! I now have the opportunity to find my own sound and really showcase me. My personal sound is more of an indie sound so I will be exploring that.”

Did One Direction have anything to do with The Wanted's break up?

While Harry, Louis, Niall, Liam and Zayn didn't exactly come between Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan, it sounds like there was only room for one boy band.

Max George, at least in some part, is blaming 1D's popularity for The Wanted deciding to call it a day.

He told The Sun (via DigitalSpy): "One Direction are a phenomenon that no one else can compete with," adding, "They've taken over the market. We have our own fans, who we love, but we couldn't stop things from happening."

Before you going pointing fingers at The Wanted and calling them sore losers (well, maybe they are a little), Max added that the "tension" among his bandmates did them in.

He explained: "Over the past year there has been a lot of tension. Our personal lives drove us apart. Things started to happen and we were drifting. We used to be such a brotherly pact, but it started to feel like it wasn't The Wanted any more."

Ed Sheeran Calls For a One Direction and The Wanted Truce

Ed Sheeran might have a girlfriend now but there's still one thing he really, really wants!

In a recent interview with The Sun, The Wanted's Tom Parker revealed that Ed really wants a The Wanted and One Direction truce.

"Ed wants to be the peacemaker," Tom told The Sun.

"He said the whole thing is stupid and wants us to get over it because he's close to both groups."

"I think if we sat down and got drunk together then we would probably all get on."

Ed and The Wanted guys apparently came up with the make-up idea while drinking together earlier this year.

"We're pretty close with him. We ordered bottles of Jagermeister and drank the night away. But he went to bed before us," Tom revealed.

"Well, to be honest, he ended up passed out on the bunk!" he continued.

It's cool that The Wanted guys are over the entire spat but for some reason the 1D guys might not be willing to reconcile, especially after Tom dissed Louis Tomlinson's sexuality!

"I regret saying that," Tom explained.

"I was a bit p***ed off with myself but it was a heat-of-the-moment thing."

"It's not exactly BLUR and OASIS but there is a bit of competition," he continued.

"We started off just performing in clubs...I'm not saying they haven't worked hard, but we didn't have the help of a big TV show like X- Factor," he added.

Well we're sure that statement will open up a whole new can of worms! But honestly, we can totally see where he's coming from!

The Wanted Ax Justin Bieber Collaboration From Their Upcoming Album

Don't expect to hear Justin Bieber on The Wanted's upcoming album!

When The Wanted guys pushed back the release date of their new album, Word of Mouth , they admitted it was because they wanted to add new songs to the project...like on they did with Justin Bieber. Well now it seems like fans might have to wait to hear that collaboration because it's not going to be on the album.

In a recent interview with MTV, The Wanted revealed that the collaborations they did with Rita Ora and Justin Bieber will not be on their new CD simply because the songs didn't fit their style.

"We did a song with Justin again I think it was a great song and he did an amazing job writing it," Max George told MTV.

"But I think it was very much more suited to his style."

Hmmm?! Was Bieber's song too hip hop for the guys? Too swaggy? Maybe saying it was "his style" was their nice way of saying they didn't like it? Either way, we're bummed the collabo won't be on Word of Mouth. We were super excited to hear that one!

The Wanted's new album is set to hit store shelves on November 4.

The Wanted's Nathan Sykes was recently caught out and about and had a lot to say about his buddy and label partner, Justin Bieber!

Not only talking about music, Nathan admitted that he didn't know Justin recently got a tattoo sleeve and couldn't wait to see it.

"Has he got a sleeve? Oh wicked, well I'm seeing him sometime soon so I'm sure I'll see him, I haven't seen it yet," Nathan said to the paparazzi.

The Wanted have taken another swipe at pop rivals One Direction, suggesting that the youngsters "did a runner" when presented with the opportunity to meet them.

Tensions have been escalating between the two boy bands in recent weeks, with insults on Twitter leading to an offer of a boxing match from The Wanted's Max George to settle their differences.

And Max has now told The Sun's Fabulous magazine that the 1D boys actively avoided the opportunity to hash things out when both groups were playing in New York.

One Direction Fighting The Wanted? 1D is Too Busy, Feud Over?

If you've grown tired of the One Direction and The Wanted feud, there may be a break in the action, as 1D is saying they're too busy to fight.

Earlier this week, we reported on The Wanted's challenge to One Direction to duke it out in a boxing ring--for charity, of course.

In a chat with The Metro, 1D were asked about the boxing match challenge and Zayn Malik said, "I already offered Max. I asked him if he wants to fight and he didn't want to."

Louis Tomlinson (who seems to be the thorn in Max George's side) added, "It is such bullsh*t because they will not live up to their word."

He added, "I love an argument but it's even got boring for me now. I mean...grow up."

Liam Payne chimed in with a reality check, saying, "We're all too busy anyway. When is this ever going to happen? We'd do it on a day off and that would be boring."

So maybe boxing's a bore, but Liam suggested a sing-off, saying, "Lets do one and call it The Homeboys Part II'."

Louis didn't think the boy bands would quite mesh, however, saying, "I don't think our musical styles would be suited. Our sound is quite different."

Could the battle of the boy bands finally be over? Our little guys are growing up.

One Direction: The Wanted Challenge 1D to a Boxing Match?

The Wanted are taking their feud with One Direction to the next level--challenging them to fight it out in a boxing ring.

Could you imagine that?

In an interview with the Daily News, Max George put out the challenge, saying, "We would like a boxing match--them against us."

He added, "It would be brilliant for TV and I don't have a problem with it at all."

Don't worry, his heart is in the right place. He says the 1D vs. The Wanted fight would raise money for charity.

Max explained, "They've got 12 million followers on Twitter and I get that they have an army of kids. But instead of doing that if they have got an issue, why don't we actually do something financially--like make some money for a charity, and blow off some steam in a boxing ring."

Jay McGuiness seems to believe the boy bands can never call a truce, explaining, "We haven't spoken. I think no matter how much you try to avoid it, people are always gearing up for, you know, what do you think of them, what do they think of you?"

He added, "It's going to be really hard to ever have a real friendship and we don't see them enough for that--we're not going to lose any sleep over it."

Ah well, we're starting to think all this mention of hating on 1D is good for The Wanted getting more eyes on their reality series.

THE WANTED We Challenge One Direction TO FIGHT US

The Wanted is out for some boy band blood ... challenging their squeaky-clean pop-nemesis One Direction to a 5-on-5 boxing match (however that works) ... but it's for a good cause.

Max George -- The Wanted's front man and ex-LiLo lover -- told the NY Daily News​ that he and his band mate Jay McGuiness are 100% on board with the idea and not just to bash One D's faces in, but to raise money for charity.

Max told the paper, "We would like a boxing match — them against us. It would be brilliant for TV and I have no problem with it at all.”

Plus, Max says, it would finally settle any beef between the bands -- whose fans often pit them against each other on social media -- explaining, "They’ve got 12 million followers on Twitter and I get that they have an army of kids, but instead of doing that ... if they have got an issue, why don’t we actually do something financially -- like make some money for a charity, and blow off some steam in a boxing ring."

In the war of words between One Direction and The Wanted, we've honestly lost count at how many times they've dissed each other.

The Wanted recently got some more digs in on 1D...and Louis Tomlinson isn't happy.

Is there a rivalry?

During a recent Australian morning show, The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness spilled, "You hear comments in interviews, and they wind you up and vice versa...it's kind of fake, and then also a few of the lads have wound me up personally."

Max George added, "I don't mind a couple of them...I don't mind Harry [Styles]," referring to him as a "top shagger" with the ladies.

He added, "I think he's retained manners and a bit of dignity, [but] some of them when they mouth off, it really gets under my skin."

Jay noted, "Because it riles up loads of 14-year-old girls, there's no need for that."

Jay added that they are kept apart if they're in the same place at the same time, noting, "Oh c'mon...we could clear this all up within like 10 minutes."

Louis wasn't too happy with the dig on 1D, taking to Twitter Saturday to respond, tweeting: "So frustrating when people talk the talk in the press but when it comes down to it not a word is said face to face!"

Louis Tomlinson Starts Fresh Feud With The Wanted After Band Diss One Direction But Call Harry Styles A 'Top Sh*gger'

Just when we thought the One Direction and The Wanted Twitter feud had come to an end, Louis Tomlinson has been on a messaging spree once again after TW spoke out about the battle of the boybands in a recent radio interview.

Jay McGuiness revealed all about the band members recent feud, saying that he doesn't mind SOME of the band, but there are others that he cannot stand. Wonder who he's talking about?

The singer was being interviewed in Australia by Jackie O, when he was asked about the 1D 'gay rumours.'

He said: “We heard it as a crazy theory that every boy band has to have one.”

The floppy haired star then continued to reveal more about the battle of the boybands, saying: “It generated just because we were two UK boybands… People were like, is there a rivalry? Well yeah, in the charts there is, but we don’t have anything against them. But then over time it generated a bit of bad feeling.”

He then continued to say that the band have been wound up by the constant comments: “You hear comments they’ve said in interviews to wind you up, and vice versa and then…it’s kind of fake, but then a few of the lads have wound me up personally.”

The Wanted don’t hate all of One Direction though, not at all. We already know they have a problem with Louis and we think they definitely dislike Liam Payne as he’s got involved in a few boyband Twitter spats too, but they claim that they are full of admiration for Harry Styles.

Max said: “I don’t mind a couple of them, but the other three, especially two of them. I don’t mind Harry, top sh**ger. I just like what I read, he does really well with the women, he’s a cool guy.”

Jay agrees and quite likes Harry, even if he can’t stand his bandmates, saying: “I think he’s retained manners and a bit of dignity, whereas some of them, when they mouth off it really gets under my skin. It riles up loads of 14 year old girls and there’s no need for that, just talk to us.”

One Direction‘s Louis Tomlinson and The Wanted‘s Tom Parker have continued the bands’ ongoing feud on Twitter this evening (April 7).

The fight sparked after word spread that Louis, 21, reportedly mentioned The Wanted during one of their shows at the O2 Arena in London.

“@Louis_Tomlinson you even talk about us at your own gigs. Are you that upset you didn’t get in this band?” Tom tweeted.
