Forget Justin Bieber, someone else is being compared to the King of Pop these days. Jack Antonoff, the lead singer of the band Fun, thinks Taylor Swift is the new Michael Jackson.
During a recent interview with GQ, the singer, who dates Taylor's BFF Lena Dunham, gave Taylor mad props, and said she's basically the new MJ. "Taylor Swift is cool, because she's the closest thing today that hearkens to Michael Jackson, to great, great pop music. There's a difference between her and Gaga and Katy Perry and Lily Allen and all that. It all feels throwaway, comparatively," he said.
Jack also called Taylor one of the best song writers ever. We totally agree with that statement. The two of them penned her song "Sweeter Than Fiction" together.
Do you think Taylor is the new Michael? We can see where Jack was coming from when he said that. She has tons of fans all over the world, writes and performs music like no other...and just has that star appeal like he did.
Others in the business have said that Bieber is the next MJ. We aren't too sure about that one. Your thoughts?
