Isabel Lucas Has 'A Lot of Respect' for Nick Jonas (Exclusive Pics & Quotes!)

Isabel Lucas looks stunning in these brand new pictures from Malibu magazine’s latest issue, provided exclusively to JustJared.com.

Here’s what the 29-year-old Aussie actress told JJ exclusively for the mag:

On acting in more uncomfortable scenes: “Sometimes you just have to jump straight into it. The more that I can shed my own personal thoughts, fears, ego, so forth, the better. When you’re heading into uncomfortable territory, too much overthinking can just make it worse. I had a few scenes like that in Careful What You Wish For.”

On working with Nick Jonas in Careful What You Wish For: “I have a lot of respect for Nick. I really felt like he blossomed and grew as an artist — because he is younger, and being in this movie was sort of bigger shoes for him to fill in some ways. It was really incredible what he brought to this role. He was able to be spontaneous and take so any risks.”

On analyzing text from the script: “I mean, as long as you feel guided. I felt guided and safe with [Knight of Cups writer Terrence Malick], so I didn’t have this urge for control. You realize that you don’t analytically need to understand everything. You can sort of trust in the unfolding — the ever unfolding — because it’s the same as in life. You never really know.”

Nick Jonas and Isabel Lucas gets Thriller Poster

A few months after the 23-second teaser of Careful What You Wish For was released, fan made teaser posters had been flooding social media sites, including blogsites. Here’s one though, we hope this one’s official.

In the movie, Nick Jonas gets more than he bargained for after entering an affair with Isabel Lucas, the wife of an investment banker. Then comes the tagline, “Wanting her was his first mistake.”

The movie, which release date is yet to be announced, features the former Jonas Brother, Nick Jonas, shirtless from the sea. We are sure fans of the Jonas Brothers will dominate the statistics of viewers.

The film also features Dermot Mulroney, Graham Rogers and Marc Macaulay as part of the cast and is directed by Elizabeth Allen.

Nick Jonas: "He's Very Mature for His Age," Says Sexy Co-Star Isabel Lucas

Nick Jonas was only 20 years old when he shot his upcoming drama, Careful What You Wish For.

Isabel Lucas, 29, who plays the married woman that Jonas has an affair with, was very impressed.

"He's lovely," the sexy Aussie told me at the MOCA 35th Anniversary Gala Presented by Louis Vuitton. "He's very mature for his age. I think he was very focused on doing a really good job and rising to the occasion."

In a teaser clip for the film, Lucas stuns in a white bikini while a shirtless Jonas shows off his ripped bod while climbing out of a lake.

Also coming up for Lucas is The Water Diviner, a drama directed by and starring fellow Aussie Russell Crowe.

"He was just very warm and very specific and clear about what he wanted and every empathetic as a director because he's an actor himself," Lucas said, adding that she "relished" and "was very grateful" for the experience.

Nick Jonas Debated For 24 Hours About Posting Shirtless Selfie

Nick Jonas proved that "healthy living" certainly does a body good after posting his surprising — and much-talked-about — shirtless selfie that sent the Internet ablaze, and for that, you can thank Kevin and Joe.

"It took one day to put it up," Nick told Ryan Seacrest's radio show. "I debated with my brothers and people in our band like, 'Should I do this?' They were like, 'You have to, you have to,' so I did it."

The photo, which Jonas said he only took once, currently has more than 213,000 likes on Instagram, with not only fans, but celebrities swooning over his washboard abs.

"The more shirtless selfies @NickJonas posts, the better my day gets," Neil Patrick Harris tweeted.

"No, I didn't really to be honest," Jonas said in response to whether he thought the picture would spark such reaction. "Like I said in the picture, I never do that, and there are a lot of people running around without their shirts on these days so I didn't want to just add to the noise, but I felt like as a diabetic its twice as hard to stay in shape...so I just wanted to be an inspiration to those people...it's been a pretty hilarious reaction"

Yet, there is still one question that many JoBro fans have been wondering: who took the now famous photo?

"That was the funniest part of the reaction people trying to figure out who took it," Jonas said. "And it was me, there is a self-timer setting on the camera app that I use, so I did that, so it was pretty funny seeing people speculate."

Jonas went on to say that he isn't sure if he will be posting another picture, but did tell fans to be on the lookout for more of his abs since he's "got a few love scenes" in is upcoming flick "Careful What You Wish For," which hits theaters next year.

“It’s definitely a different role than anything I’ve ever done before, one of those things I really wanted to challenge myself,” Nick told NBC Charlotte.

Nick, 20, and Isabel, 28, recently shot a very intimate scene, which was filmed on a closed set!

Nick says his fans will likely be surprised by this role and that it’s a big departure from the Disney movies we’re used to seeing him in.

Nick plays a man who has an affair with his married next-door neighbor (Isabel Lucas). Everything then spirals out of control when her husband is found dead on the floor! (Sounds creepy!)

“It doesn’t make me nervous, I think it’s important for me to take steps and continue to grow as an actor and push myself in this way. I think, for the audience, they have to be prepared to come see a movie that’s pretty intense,” Nick added.

Nick, who was persuaded to take a vow of chastity during his upbringing, said he will show the movie to his parents upon its release. ”The whole movie is not sex. It’s a part of the movie. The story overall is an exciting one, and one I think people will be taken by,” Nick said.

Nick Jonas Ready To Make You 'Uncomfortable' In New Thriller

Nick Jonas is ready to get all hot and bothered with Isabel Lucas for his upcoming film project, "Careful What You Wish For." And by the sound of it, he's going to make the audience feel a bit heated under the collar as well.

"I play a guy named Doug Martin. It's an interesting movie; really intense sort of sexy thriller with a lot of twists and turns," he told MTV News on Wednesday during the "Live From MTV" with the Jonas Brothers. The movie revolves around Jonas' Doug and Lucas' Lena, who find themselves caught up in an affair of the heart... and the body. But, it takes a turn for the worse when her hubby winds up dead.

He heads to North Carolina this week to begin filming the movie, directed by Elizabeth Allen ("Aquamarine," "The Vampire Diaries," "Life Unexpected") and he shared it's a great breakout role for him. "It's a great acting role. It's something I can really dive into and sort of lose myself in and become this person for a little while, which is exciting," the 20-year-old added. "And I think it'll be a movie that keeps people on the edge of their seats and makes them uncomfortable and excited. It'll be good."

And he confirms that, yes, there will be some sexy times. "There's a couple of those [types of scenes] too. It's a good film and a really interesting story," he said.

Oh, and by the way, expect a new look from the singer/actor. In addition to stepping out of his comfort zone as a performer in "Careful," he also revealed that he will be growing out his hair for the movie, "but it takes a little bit of time. So, be patient."

New experiences seem to be the theme for Nick's life in 2013. He recently surprised and dazzled fans with dance moves in the video for "Pom Poms," but it seems those may not be replicated anytime soon. "I wouldn't consider myself a dancer. It's one of those songs that you can't help but get up and move," Nick explained. "And so at least one of us had to do it."

According to Variety, the 20-year-old musician actor will play Doug, who gets more than he bargained for when he starts having an affair with Lena (Isabel Lucas), the young wife of an investment banker renting the lake house next door for the summer.

The husband’s suspicious death reveals a substantial life insurance policy, and everyone is a potential suspect in this sexy thriller.

The movie will begin filming in late April 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
