Justin Bieber Ducks Out of 'After Earth' Premiere

Justin Bieber holds on to his sunglasses as he exits through a back door while leaving the After Earth premiere on Wednesday night (May 29) in New York City.

The 19-year-old singer was there to support his BFF Jaden Smith, and was later seen hanging out with some friends downtown.

“Everyone go see #AfterEarth this weekend. @officialjaden we got u. #supportyourfriends,” he tweeted.

TOP PICK: Jaden Smith Tried to Get as Big as Taylor Lautner for 'After Earth'

For Jaden Smith's starring role in After Earth, he had to bulk up big time and do some serious training to play Kitai, who's trying to survive on post-apocalyptic Earth.

"Training was really just a lot of building size. I tried to get as big as Taylor Lautner in New Moon," Jaden explains. "I gained like 20 pounds and grew 4 inches."

To add lean muscle to his frame, Jaden stuck to a diet of oatmeal, chicken, quinoa, kale and protein shakes.

Jaden worked with his trainer John Koyama to master the stunts and battle scenes 5 days a week for more than 4 months before he began filming.
