Hailey Bieber Sends Cease & Desist to TikToker Calling Justin Bieber Abusive & an 'Addict' (Report)

Hailey Bieber Sends Cease & Desist to TikToker Calling Justin Bieber Abusive & an 'Addict' (Report)

Hailey Bieber is reportedly taking legal action against a TikToker following claims they made about Justin Bieber and their marriage.

Recently, TikTok creator Julie Theis posted a video in which she analyzed celebrity couples that she says are romanticized because the woman “tolerates mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship.”

“There is no better example than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber,” Theis said, before claiming that Hailey, 29, has stayed with Justin, 31, because she “will tolerate that abuse.”

Keep reading to find out more…The TikToker made additional claims, calling Justin an “addict” and alleging abuse in the married couple’s relationship.

After the claims in the TikTok started making headlines, Hailey and Justin reportedly sent a cease and desist to Theis through their attorney, stating that she “manufactured a false defamatory narrative,” according to the legal documents obtained by TMZ.

“Your contact is wrongful, highly demanding, actionable, and exposes you to sustainable liability,” the letter continued.

On January 10, several other TikTokers shared alleged proof that Hailey reposted a video that featured Theis original video edited together with footage of the couple.

That same day, Hailey took to her Instagram Story to shut down the rumors, writing, “Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship. Have a beautiful Saturday!”

In a statement shared with People, Theis said that her original video “is clearly opinion-based commentary about relationship dynamics and power. Attempts to intimidate or silence that kind of speech are concerning, not just for creators, but for public discourse as a whole. This situation isn’t about defamation; it’s about whether independent voices are allowed to express opinions about public and powerful figures without being met with legal pressure. It’s elitist to treat disagreement as something that should be erased. Disagreement is not defamation, and commentary should not require permission.”

Theis continued, “What’s also worth noting is the pattern of escalation that often follows moments like this. Since speaking out, I’ve received messages containing explicit threats of physical harm — real crimes — in response to an opinion. I’m not speculating about who is behind these messages, but I do find it notable that many originate from anonymous or faceless accounts. That kind of response doesn’t strengthen an argument; it reinforces why intimidation is such a corrosive force in public conversation.”

Find out how Hailey reacted when she was recently asked again about those ongoing feud rumors with Selena Gomez.

Ariana Grande & Jonathan Bailey's 'Sunday In the Park with George' Production Confirmed!

Ariana Grande & Jonathan Bailey's 'Sunday In the Park with George' Production Confirmed!

It’s official Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande will be starring in a production of Sunday in the Park with George together!

Last month, it was reported that the Wicked co-stars are in “early planning stages” to revive the fan favorite production, from Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. It’s expected to kick off in London, England next year.

Keep reading to find out more…

Jonathan and Ariana personally confirmed the news by posing for a photo in front of the famed painting at The Art Institute of Chicago. They captioned the post with, “All it has to be is good,” which is a lyric from the production.

If you don’t know, Sunday in the Park with George follows painter Georges Seurat as he meticulously works on his masterpiece, “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,” while navigating his complicated relationship with his lover Dot. The second act of the musical later shifts to his great-grandson, George, exploring how art, love, and creative legacy echo across generations, with Dot now aged to be elderly.

Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters originated the roles in the first production on Broadway back in 1984. The most recent production on Broadway happened in 2017 with Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford in the leads. You can listen to Jake actually singing one of the big songs from the show, “Finishing the Hat.”
