New 'Wicked: For Good' Clip Shows First Look at Young Glinda, Director Talks Adding Her Into Part 2 Movie

Another new clip from the upcoming Wicked: For Good has been released, and reveals a first look at a new actress!

In the upcoming second half of the Wicked two-part movie adaptation, we’ll get to meet Young Glinda, the mini version of Ariana Grande‘s character.

Part one introduced viewers to younger versions of both Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Nessarose (Marissa Bode).

Scarlett Spears will be portraying Young Glinda, and Ariana shared a sweet note for the young actress after the clip was revealed.

“my tiny girl in the bubble, played by the wonderful and talented @miss.scarlett.brielle 🫧 thank you for your beautiful work and for allowing the world to understand our Galinda more deeply than ever before.. ♡ i adore you so,” she captioned a photo of them hugging on set.

“We love you SO much @arianagrande – what an HONOR it is to be part of your world. We love you, endlessly. Thank you for making this little girls dream come true. 🩷🫧👑✨🥹,” Scarlett‘s mom wrote in the comments.

Young Nessarose actress Cesily Collete‘s parents also commented, writing, “😍😍😍 🎀🎀🎀🎀 our hearts have just exploded @miss.scarlett.brielle xoxox a million hugs your way!”

In a recent interview, director Jon M Chu opened up about adding a scene for the movie that involved Young Glinda.

“We had that scene in the script and I knew we should have kept it, but we didn’t shoot it at the time because we had a lot of other pressures,” he told Deadline of adding it back when they returned for some reshoots back in March.

He also shared that he and producer Marc Platt “always said’ if we need it, we’ll go get it.’”

Also pictured here in the gallery are first look photos from the upcoming NBC special, Wicked: One Wonderful Night, which will see Cynthia and Ariana performing, along with co-stars Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater and Bowen Yang.

In the special, they stars will perform songs from the first movie and a little tease of the upcoming second. The special will premiere on Thursday, November 6th at 8pm ET/PT on NBC, and streaming next day on Peacock.
