Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) attend the official opening of the Glade Of Light Memorial at Manchester Arena on Tuesday (May 10) in Manchester, England.
The Glade of Light Memorial commemorates the victims of the terrorist attack that took place at the Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017.
Twenty-two people were killed and hundreds were injured when a terrorist exploded a bomb in the concourse of the arena.
According to the city of Manchester, “The Glade of Light was designed to be a living memorial, a tranquil garden space for remembrance and reflection. Its peaceful surroundings are intended as the setting for commemorative events in the city relating to the attack.”
