Jennifer Lawrence is opening up with her thoughts after learning that her Don’t Look Up co-star Leonardo DiCaprio earned more money than her for the project.
The 31-year-old Oscar-winning actress has equal billing with Leo as the lead stars of the new film, which features a star-studded supporting cast with Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Ariana Grande, Timothee Chalamet, and many more.

In Jennifer‘s new cover story for Vanity Fair, it was revealed that she earned $25 million for her work in Don’t Look Up while Leo received $30 million.
The reporter pointed out that Jennifer made 83 cents to the dollar for Leo‘s salary, which lines up with statistics showing that women working full-time in 2020 earned 82.3 percent of what men made.
Jennifer told VF, “Yeah, I saw that too… Look, Leo brings in more box office than I do. I’m extremely fortunate and happy with my deal. But in other situations, what I have seen—and I’m sure other women in the workforce have seen as well—is that it’s extremely uncomfortable to inquire about equal pay. And if you do question something that appears unequal, you’re told it’s not gender disparity but they can’t tell you what exactly it is.”
