The new movie Don’t Look Up, which will debut on Netflix next month, has been screened for a select group of critics and awards voters… and Ariana Grande is among the stars getting Oscar buzz!
The film tells the story of two low-level astronomers (Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence), who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet earth.
Ariana has a “brief” role in the movie, but it’s not her acting that’s earning her Oscar buzz.

There’s an original song that Ariana wrote for the movie called “Just Look Up” and Variety reports that the song likely will be a frontrunner for Best Original Song.
Ariana co-wrote the song with Kid Cudi, who appears alongside her in the movie, and Taura Stinson.
Director Adam McKay said, “It might be my favorite moment in the movie. The No. 1 pop star in the world telling us, ‘We’re all going to die, get your head out of your ass.’”
