Ariana Grande Gives Surprise Performance With Writer of Her First Broadway Show

Ariana Grande gave a surprise performance at a Jason Robert Brown concert on Monday (January 4) in Hollywood.

The 22-year-old pop star was 15 when she made her Broadway debut as Charlotte in the musical 13, which Jason wrote.

“I asked if she wanted to come sing a tune or two, and she said, ‘Three.’ I said, ‘Three is fine,’” Jason joked when he introduced her.

Ariana performed “The Lamest Place in the World” from the musical, along with Jason’s song, “Getting Out,” which he said he had ironically written about “being really grouchy that I wasn’t an international pop star.”

Ariana’s brother, Frankie uploaded the full performance to his YouTube channel. Watch below!
