It all went down when Miley was caught mouthing what looks like the word "a**hole" to Ed as he walked by to accept an award at Sunday night's show. She didn't clap for his win, or smack his hand like he did Scooter Braun as he walked by. Burn.
People instantly noticed the awkwardness between Miley and Ed, forcing him to speak out about it days later to Ryan. "Well, I don't know why people were expecting that [high-five]. I've never met her," he told him on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
"There was a high-five between me and Scooter [Braun] because I know him, and that was the only high-five. I don't know what people were expecting," Ed added.
"I think she's a fantastic artist," he said of the twerking queen. "I think she's got a great voice, writes great songs."
All of this comes after Ed dissed Miley's twerking after last year's VMAs. She obviously wasn't too happy about his remarks and that's what lead to the name calling.
