Ariana Grande has confirmed that she and bad boy Justin Bieber are “legitimately” teaming up for a collaboration after a huge demand from their fans, admitting that it would be “cruel” to deprive their supporters of a duet.
The close friends fuelled speculation that they are working on music together when Justin, 20, posted a photo of them in the recording studio together last week and asked his Beliebers if they would like to hear a joint song from them.
“Congrats @arianagrande on your number 1 song. #arianabieberduet ??” Justin captioned the photo.
Ariana has now confirmed the news fans have been hoping for, telling Australia's Nova FM: “It is legitimately happening but I think it would be cruel not to.
“Our fans have been wanting us to do duet together for years now so I think we would be very mean to deprive them of that, they have been very supportive so I want to do something that they would really really like.”
When asked by host Smallzy if she felt pressure to deliver an amazing song, Ariana admitted: “Yes. I don’t think the pressure is too much, I think a good amount of pressure always results in a good song.”
Ariana, 20, revealed more details of the song during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS radio show last week, saying: “I’m excited about it … I’m just very excited. Justin wrote it and he brought the idea to me.
“And I was really excited to hear it and I’m excited to work with him. I’ve wanted to work with him for a while. And I know it’s something our fans have been begging for for years now.”
