Stop us if you've heard this rumor before: One Direction is breaking up because Harry Styles wants to go solo. Yep, if you feel like you're having a bout of deja vu, you're not alone. We swear this solo career buzz never dies down.
In the latest installment of "Harry's going rogue and breaking up the band," rumors are swirling that Hazza has his eye on a career path like Justin Timberlake. Which, let's be honest, is pretty much the best path to take. Ever.
You know...JT was in a little boy band back in the day, then he spread his wings and yada, yada, yada. Well, you get it. But still. One Direction isn't planning to call it quits any time soon.
And to support this latest rumor, a "source" has gone all-out, somehow pulling together Harry's love of L.A., his solo career dreams, his gig writing songs for other bands, a desire to act...heck, even Kendall Jenner's name is thrown into the mix for good measure.
The source tells Heat (via Mstarz): "Harry prefers LA because he could be a real star over there. He wants a solo career like Justin Timberlake's. He's already been writing for Kodaline and Alex and Sierra, and recording solo demos. He wants to act, too, and he can't get the real gig if he stays in a boy band that 12 year olds like. He loves 1D, but he feels it could limit his longevity. He asked Kendall [Jenner]: 'How many boy bands do you know that keep going for more than five years?'"
And, as if that wasn't enough, the insider added: "Harry's making connections--he's not taken seriously in the US yet and he wants desperately to change that. He has the big picture in mind and his bandmates know it. It's a matter of time before he goes solo."
Yeah. We're having a good laugh too.
