Justin Bieber got into a confronation with a fan trying to take a picture with him at a downtown nightclub Saturday morning, and lost a $40,000 gold chain in the process, according to club staff.
The Bieb — the international pop star and pride of Stratford, Ont. — was partying at Uniun Nightclub around 3 a.m. when a fan approached him for a picture, said Orin Bristol, operations manager at the Adelaide St. W. nightspot. “The fan was just a small little guy,” Bristol said. “He wasn’t being aggressive.”
Bieber’s security entourage saw a threat, however, and shoved the young Belieber to the ground. “Security was a bit aggressive,” said Bristol. “There weren’t punches thrown really; it was more of a shoving match and pushing match.”
Pictures originating on Instagram, apparently of the confrontation, were circulating online and show Bieber and his entourage standing around someone on the floor.
No one was hurt, Bristol added, but at some point during the scrap, Bieber lost his gold chain, which was reportedly worth $40,000.
Police at 14 Division had not heard reports of the incident on Saturday night and said they were not investigating the matter.
