If you tuned in for the season premiere of X Factor last night, you saw Demi Lovato have an emotional moment over Lillie McCloud's audition.
You likely had an emotional moment of your own.
Lillie McCloud, a 54-year-old mother of three and grandmother (she did not look 54!) was the big standout of the night's auditions.
In fact, we can't speak for certain about what the talent pool will bring this year to X Factor, but we can see Lillie going very far.
Lillie took to the stage in a catsuit and super-sized hair to sing CeCe Winans' "Alabaster Box."
To say that it was amazing would be an understatement, as she moved the audience, the viewers, the judges...and earned a standing ovation.
Kelly Rowland summed it up perfectly when she said, "The fact that you sang to people a song they didn't know and y'all could feel that...every single part of this room, you touched with your voice."
Demi was visibly moved by Lillie's performance, tears filling her eyes, as she said, "Oh my god. Ripped my heart out of my chest. I feel like I'm listening to Whitney [Houston]...maybe your time wasn't supposed to happen until now."
Lillie moved through to the next round, with Demi saying it was "the easiest yes I've said in this entire competition."
What did you think of Lillie's performance?
