Liam Payne has confirmed he's dating Sophia Smith.
That didn't take long, considering we just saw Liam holding hands with a "mystery woman" last week.
In an interview with Yahoo OMG UK, Liam revealed that he and Sophia, a childhood friend, are in fact in a relationship--and she was even with him!
During a junket for the movie One Direction: This Is Us, the 1D guys played a game of "who's the most likely to..." and they were asked who is the flirtiest.
Louis Tomlinson said, "I'm not because I've got a girlfriend."
Liam added: "And me."
When asked, "You've got a girlfriend?" he said, "Yep it's new."
Following the interview, OMG UK bumped into Liam on the way to the restroom and he revealed even more!
He was asked, "What's this about you having a new girlfriend?" and responded, "Yes yes I do. she's sitting right over there," adding, "It's not been long."
A new girlfriend who just happens to be along for his press junket interviews?
Sounds serious!
Sophia and Liam reportedly attended St. Peter's Collegiate in Wolverhampton--long before he was famous.
Liam and ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer broke up earlier this year...she tweeted shortly after Liam's confirmation, "Oh dear."
