Simon Cowell leaves the Britain’s Got Talent studio after a woman pelted him with eggs during the show’s finale episode on Saturday (June 8) in London, England.
While brothers Richard and Adam Johnson performed their rendition of “The Impossible Dream,” a viola player named Natalie Holt who was onstage playing with the orchestra popped out of her chair and threw eggs at Simon.
“I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I’ve never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do,” Natalie, who was a former contestant on the show, said in a statement after the show.
“I really don’t like eggs,” Simon later tweeted.
