Harry Styles beams with delight as he acts as best man on mother's wedding day

He might have one of the most famous faces in the world, but Harry Styles looked happier than ever in the quaint town of Congleton in Cheshire on Saturday afternoon as he acted as best man on his mother's wedding day.

The One Direction star beamed with delight as he arrived at the venue with his step dad Robin Twist, ready to walk his mother, Anne Cox down the aisle.

Matching the man of the hour, the 19-year-old wore a slim-fitted black suit complete with a white rose in his lapel, keeping his trademark locks coiffed in a stylish quiff.

Appearing in a rather playful mood, the heartthrob laughed and joked around with his mother's new husband - who raised him from the age of seven after Anne split from his father.

Harry - who looked after the rings - is said to have helped his mum organise the bash, with details kept top secret to avoid fans finding out the location.

Anne - who arrived at the venue in a £50,000 vintage Bentley - looked stunning in an ivory, floor-length dress as she held onto a bouquet or roses.

The 43-year-old looked a picture of happiness as she chatted away to her son and other family members at the restaurant where the ceremony was held.

It is believed that 42 friends and family helped celebrate the nuptials, with guests revealing that Harry 'couldn't stop smiling.'

'He hardly left his mum's side and she looked really proud of him. He couldn't stop smiling,' a guest told the Sunday Mirror.

'He sipped champagne and chatted to everyone.'

Guests appeared relaxed and in great spirits as they mingled in the sunshine in the restaurant’s garden. And despite the presence of two minders at the door, it could be overlooked easily by passers-by.

The party carried on into the early hours of the morning, it is believed, after they headed to a local pub for the reception.

It is believed that a fake wedding coach full of pretend guests went to Doncaster Racecourse, 80 miles away, to put paparazzi and fans off the scent.

Harry has always been vocal about the love his has for his mum, confessing that she is one of his best friends, and revealed that she is the person he goes to for advice on his love life. He said: ‘I tell her everything and she knows the truth.’

The bride and groom, who live in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, with daughter Gemma, 20, booked their wedding date into a gap between Harry’s tour commitments in Lisbon and Mexico City.
