Demi Lovato Intimate Gig 'Ends In Tears After Fans Get Crushed And Ambulances Are Called'

Demi Lovato fans were not only left disappointed yesterday after Lovatics broke the rules and camped overnight for tickets to the singer's intimate Vevo gig in London last night, but according to new reports, ambulances were called and fans were taken away on stretchers after several were crushed inside the venue.

The Skyscraper star performed a small gig at Notting Hill's Porchester Hall, but it looks like things didn't exactly go as planned, as the concert turned into chaos when several fans were crushed, before collapsing outside, Splash News reports.

A representative for Demi has been contacted for a comment on these reports.

Hundreds of eager youngsters queued outside the London Palladium to be in with a chance of being given free wristbands to the gig last night and missed out to rule-breakers.

Vevo, the ticket providers, warned fans that they would not be successful in receiving the once in a lifetime chance to see Demi for free in a gig of only 500 people if they choose to arrive way before the door opening time of 10am and camp outside, as it was said that camping would not be permitted.

However, many fans ignored the message and some arrived as early as 2am to gain premium spots outside the famous venue to ensure they were given tickets, though rule-abiders arrived at around the time they were advised to, and missed out on the chance.

“It's not fair that they've done exactly what Vevo said don't do and then they got rewarded for it”, 16 -year-old fan Jamie-Leigh said to BBC Newsbeat.

Another young fan, 16-year-old Tejas also spoke of her annoyance that her and her friends also lost out on tickets: “It said on the website that we're not allowed to camp outside and just come to the box office at 10am, and that's exactly what we did.”

Following the outrage caused by Vevo and its un- followed 'rules', the ticket providers issued an official statement to reassure the fans who were denied wristbands: “We have had unprecedented demand on free tickets for Vevo Presents: Demi Lovato, Live in London. While we know that some fans will be disappointed about not getting a ticket for this intimate show, we'd like to reassure everyone that all of the footage from the gig will be availble for free online across all Vevo platforms, allowing Demi's fans worldwide to experiece the show.”
