Fans miss out on Demi Lovato tickets after hours queuing

Dozens of Demi Lovato fans who had queued for hours have been left disappointed after failing to get wristbands for a London concert.

The teenagers were told they could not camp outside a theatre box office where tickets were issued on a first come, first served basis.

Some fans started arriving at around 2am but tickets were given to people who ignored official advice and camped.

The American singer is playing a small concert to 500 people on Friday.

Labdhi, 16, was one of the first people in the queue.

She said she'd been waiting for a wristband since early on Friday morning and that it would have been her first concert.

"We all decided to come here because it was for free and it's Demi Lovato and we love her," she said.

Her 16-year-old friend, Tejas, said: "It said on the website that we're not allowed to camp outside and just come to the box office at 10am and that's exactly what we did."

Unfortunately Tejas, Labdhi and hundreds of others missed out on wristbands after the doors at London's Palladium opened at around 11.45am.

Also in the queue was 16-year-old Jamie-Leigh, who thinks the way tickets were allocated for the Notting Hill gig was unfair.

She said: "It's not fair that they've done exactly what Vevo said don't do and then they got rewarded for it."

In a statement, Vevo said: "We have had unprecedented demand on free tickets for Vevo Presents: Demi Lovato, Live in London.

"While we know that some fans will be disappointed about not getting a ticket for this intimate show, we'd like to reassure everyone that all of the footage from the gig will be available for free online across all Vevo platforms, allowing Demi's fans worldwide to experience the show."

Demi Lovato's latest self-titled album, her fourth studio record, made it to number three in the US Billboard 200 chart.

The 20-year-old, who is from the US state of New Mexico, is also a judge on The X Factor USA.
