The name of this show should have been “Full House,” but unfortunately that title was already taken.
The second season of E!’s hit reality show “Married to Jonas,” which chronicles Kevin Jonas, 25, of the Jonas Brothers boy band and his wife, Dani. The series will follow Jonas as he takes on in-laws, contemplates moving out of the New Jersey suburbs and prepares to go back on tour with the band.
The season kicks off April 21.
“It happened really fast and unexpectedly,” Jonas told the Daily News. “We have mom, dad and [Dani’s sister] Katie upstairs, plus four dogs, which created an interesting family dynamic.” His wife’s family is building a home in New Jersey during the show.
For Kevin, the only vice of family-style living is “trying not to eat everything under the sun,” he said of the easy access to his mother-in-law’s Italian home cooking.
Just as the extended family gets cozy, Kevin begins thinking about moving into New York City. He hopes to build a family of his own.
“Family is something we both want. We just want it at the right time,” he said, referring to baby plans for the future. “We want it to happen.”
In the season opener, Kevin has some persuading to do to get Dani to make the move. “She’s excited about it, but definitely hesitant,” he said of his Jersey girl, 25.
That’s not the only move on the horizon this season. The Jonas Brothers are taking their music to Chile.
“You get to see us go on tour in South America,” he said, excited about the week of foreign filming.
When Dani isn’t on tour with Kevin, the duo share a long-distance relationship. “We video chat all the time,” the pop star said, laughing about the international phone bill. “That’s the price of love.”
“I think you get to see a different side of things” in the show, he added. “The involvement we have with each other continues to grow.”
