Justin Bieber's Shaved Head Has Fans Bowing Down To 'God Of Hair'

Whenever Justin Bieber does anything to his hair, it becomes international news. And as Bieber takes his Believe tour across the world, he's giving fans something to talk about. Over the weekend, the singer debuted a newer, undercut hairstyle, shaved much shorter on the sides and leaving the top longer and swept to the side.

The side-swept look recalled Bieber's once signature, old-school hair flip. And the updated 'do, which he showed off at a fan meet and greet in Germany on Friday, has fans swooning on Twitter. "So Justin bieber is single, he is writing new music and he got his hair flip back. WELL HELLO 2009," ‏@BieberTheLucky tweeted.

Other fans couldn't get over how much it recalled his swoop from back in the day (which was immortalized in his 3-D movie and in his MTV "Diary"). He first cut it off back in February 2011, causing frenzy and headlines, much like this time around. @ikatiebelieber wrote, "Lol like the sides of his head are shaved so he really only had 1/3 Bieber hair flip omfg I love him."

Meanwhile another fan, @_LukeMace declared the teen star the "god of hair" in light of the new look.

But, the online hysteria over the look hardly ended with declarations of his hair godliness. @carlysraerote, "HE SHAVED THE SIDES OF HIS HEAD I AM CRYING SCREAMING HOLLERING I AM IN COMPLETE ECSTACY RIGHT NOW."

While fans gushed over the new hairstyle, comparing it to Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Skrillex, one fan seemed less enthusiastic to jump on the bandwagon. @shaesayshi5m wrote, "Justin Bieber is fricken hot but his new hair looks terrible."

When Bieber first chopped off his locks back in 2011, MTV News spoke to hairstylist Vanessa Price. She opened up about the decision to cut off his hair. "We knew it was going to be a big deal," Price explained two years ago about that initial haircut. "We knew it was going to shock fans, but we also knew it was going to be a change in terms of growing up. I think that's something that people adjust to."

Much like his original swoop, the newer look seems to require a lot less hair product than he's been wearing as of late. "With his hair before he didn't require any product. It was super-easy and now that it was cut shorter and choppier, he wanted to be able to experiment," she explained. "I'm not around all the time, but I definitely groomed him into learning how to do his own hair."
