It is no secret that the boys from One Direction and The Wanted are not friends.
But Zayn Malik may have just crossed the line after referring to Max George as 'chlamydia boy'.
The two pop stars exchanged some extremely snide and bitchy comments as they publicly insulted each other via Twitter.
Zayn, 19, angered Max, 24, and the rest of The Wanted when he wrote a tweet directed at Max that read 'Alright chlamydia boy ;).'
Never one to back down in a fight, Max stood his ground and called Zayn's bluff by telling him to speak up next time they see each other.
He said: 'Tell me you're problems without the 8 security in NYC.. The only problem I have with you is the s*** banter. Grow up son.' (sic)
It is not clear why Zayn decided to give Max the less than affectionate nickname, but it comes after his girlfriend had recently hung out with Michelle Keegan.
The Coronation Street star was engaged to Max but broke up with him after he reportedly cheated on her.
Michelle and Perrie were seen hanging out on the set of Corrie where they had a nice long girl chat.
Zayn and Max's issues surfaced earlier when the X Factor star commented on a picture of Max with Psy Oppa, in which he called him a geek.
While Max replied by saying: 'Does that mean I’m 'in'?', Zayn was clearly in no mood to be friends and reacted aggressively.
He tweeted: 'I'm not sure why your still talking to me mate conversation ended when I called you a geek. p.s your display just how's how much of a wannabe you are :)'.
Max kept his cool and replied: 'That's not very nice. I was just starting to like you and your RnB hits.'
However, The Wanted's Tom Parker chimed in and said to Max: 'I think ''1 stripes'' got his knickers in a twist bro.'
With the veiled comment about his strange hair colouring taken to heart, Zayn blasted Tom and said: 'Mate if I had a face like yours my hair would be the last thing I'd worry about :).'
Zayn eventually gave up ridiculing his pop rivals and said he had to run off to rehearsals but Max had the last word and said: 'Enjoy rehearsals. Stay off the bud... It clearly makes u cranky.'
